Gone to Texas

Just for fun, I made a Wordle from the writing I've done over the years about the annual trips to my home state of Texas.

The most frequently recurring words?
Texas.  drive.  bluebonnets.  Houston.  home.  parents.  cow.

Seems about right.

(Gone to Texas . . . April 2-20)

  1. Well those seem like the most likely, given the destination.

  9. Have a wonderful trip and drive to Houston, Texas where the bluebonnets grow and the cows low so close to the home of your parents.

  10. Oh, I love this, Bee. A minimalist short story of sorts. I would seriously love a picture book with just these words!

Hope it's a wonderful trip. xo Gigi

  11. I love the Texan cow - so different from its British cousins and the bluebonnets must be second cousins to the bluebells. I'm looking forward to more pix and stories about your time back home. It's nice knowing that we're in the same country even if it will be a couple more months before we can get together again.

  15. Oh man! It ate my comment. I've been having such problems with that here lately. Wonder if it's my computer? Anyway. Have a marvelous time. I can't wait to see more images from Texas and here about your time there.

  16. Those bluebonnets look like our lupins, here in England? Are they the same?
I expect you're stuffing yourself with Mexican food, but you're missing a great Spring here in England. It's so warm and sunny. Unbelievable after that horrid winter.
Meanwhile, in Tennessee, storm after storm it seems and the winds ruined all bar two of my tulips. Grrrrr

  17. I hope you had a jolly good time back in Texas and are safely back home now!

Blue lupines are not so uncommon here, in the wild and in gardens. The wild ones seem to be a shade or two darker than the Texas bluebonnet.

    Happy Easter,
    Merisi

I'm a tex-ex-pat Houston/Austin, but I only made it to California. I look forward to having wander envy from your tales. I'm gonna to follow y'all. ;)
